Hi everyone!
I've got a card to share tonight. It's the one I created for my hubby who is a wonderful father to our two boys.
I used one of the new Hero Arts stamp sets from their recent, Stamp Your Story release. Love this set! It's called, Brush Strokes. I also used all Hero Arts Shadow Inks. Two were Mid-Tone Inks in Navy and Wet Cement. The third one was Soft Granite.
I then white embossed all the words from another new Hero Arts set called, My Words. The word, "WE" is an important one in our house - so much better than using "I." We've always told our kids we're a team and we work together, so I thought it would be fun to emboss that word many times on the ink splats. I then added several different sentiments that I thought would make the card even more meaningful.
My hubby had a wonderful, relaxing day - he went and played golf this morning then came home to watch the U.S. Open golf tourney on TV. The perfect Father's Day, according to him. :)
I'm missing my own father today. He died almost 37 years ago, when I was in high school, and no matter how many years pass by, I still miss him. He was a big man with a heart to match. He had a laugh that filled the room, a deep faith in God, and he adored being a father to us six kids. I so wish he could have met my two boys!
That's it for me tonight - hope you've all enjoyed your weekend! I'm glad you took the time to stop by - thank you! :)

Fresh Peach and Mint Julep
Hi there!
I've been playing with the new Hero Arts, Mid-Tone Shadow Inks. The colors are Fresh Peach and Mint Julep and they are yummy! I love them separately but I think they look so pretty together too! Take a look.
I stamped the smallest flower from the Bold Pop Design set in both colors, then cut them out using the matching die. The card base was embossed using the Baby's Breath Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Hope you're all having a good weekend! Thanks for stopping by! :)

All Sweetness and Light
Hello!
Over at the Moxie Fab World blog, the Tuesday Trigger this week is what Cath calls, "All Sweetness and Light." It is the prettiest picture! See?
I don't have anything relating to paisley but I love the pretty, soft colors in the photo, so I let that be my inspiration. Here's my take:
I wanted to also incorporate the comforter with those cute, white dots and the pretty white trim around the bedding and bed skirt.
I used a flower stamp from Flourishes. It comes in their set called, Zinnias. I white embossed each flower, painted them with a mix of Liquid Pearls and water, then cut them out and adhered them onto the card base. The leaves were cut using the Sizzix, Branch with Leaves die and the dotty paper is from Dear Lizzy's, Neapolitan 6x6 paper pad. I added some Melissa Frances lace and a Hero Arts sentiment.
I'm so glad you stopped by today - thank you! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)

A Card For Maddy
Hi there!
I have a card to share today for a very special girl. I'm sure you've seen the "Cards For Maddy" campaign but if you haven't, please check out this post here.
All the information you need is there, and it would be wonderful if you could send this brave, young girl a hand made card. I can't even imagine what she and her family are going through.
I wanted my card for Maddy to be bright, happy and fun - hoping it will cheer her up, even just a little. So I pulled out a clear set from Simon Says Stamp and used one of the rose images.
I also used some of the tiny, open dot images which are included in the set. I stamped them with black ink on the orange panel, then filled in the little circles with a white gel pen. The papers are all from the, "Fruit Stand" 6x6 paper pad from Doodlebug Design.
PLEASE consider making a card for Maddy if you haven't already done so.
Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Your Story Fun!
Hey there!
I've been playing with some of the new, Stamp Your Story stamps from Hero Arts and having lots of fun!
Those circles were stamped with lots of different Hero Arts Shadow and Dye Inks. It's one of the fun, artsy stamps which comes in the new, Brush Strokes cling set. I white embossed the small flower several times, cut them out and popped them up for some dimension. That little flower stamp is from another new cling set called, Remember, and that fabulous sentiment is from the same set - LOVE the font!
Next up is a card with a background created by repeatedly stamping one of the Brush Strokes stamps in Bundled Sage Distress Ink.
Then I did a little masking with the tulip stamp from Hero Arts' Antique Flower Engravings set and colored them with Copics. The "BE" is from their Alphabet Uppercase die set and the rest of the sentiment is from the new, My Words set.
And my last card uses a new woodblock stamp. It's called, Three Brushed Flowers.
I know, I know - same pink and green color combo - can't help it - I love them together! Lots of Distress Inks and Stains on the background with some script stamping too. The main image was stamped using Distress Markers and a spritz of water before stamping, and another sentiment from the My Words set.
I sure am enjoying this new stamp release - tons of possibilities!
I really appreciate your visit - so glad you stopped by! Hope everyone has a great week! :)

Memorial Day Weekend
Hi there!
We have a long, three day weekend here in the U.S. to honor those heroes who have served in the military and to remember how they gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. These brave men and women make our lives safer. They fight for us so we can continue to enjoy our way of life. I am so grateful for their service and sacrifice!
Here is a card I made in honor of all those who have served.
I used the Simon Says Stamp, Fit To Be Square die and matching stamp set. I'm entering this into the CAS-ual Friday's challenge #102.
Take a moment this weekend to reflect on how lucky we are to have these brave men and women keeping us safe.
So glad you stopped by! Enjoy your weekend!

Fun With Simon Says Stamp Products!
Hey everyone!
I've been playing with some fun (new to me) products from Simon Says Stamp! I've got three cards to share. The first two use the April Card Kit, which I was lucky enough to win from a random drawing on Kathy Racoosin's blog! Thank you, Kathy! :)
All the papers are from the kit - LOVE! And the little roses are from their, Best Mom Ever clear stamp set. The sentiment is from their stamp set called, Happy Everyday which comes in the kit.
This next one is stamped with the same, Happy Everyday set.
The stripes and tiny triangles are stamps. Thought this would make a good masculine b-day card.
And this last card is stamped using the SSS, Best Mom Ever set. Love these roses so much!!
I gave this one to a mom friend of mine for Mother's Day.
Before I go, I wanted to say how sad I am for all those living in Oklahoma - so much devastation, sorrow and suffering! Did you know that it is so easy to donate? All you have to do is text the words, "Redcross" to the number, 90999 and it will automatically donate $10.00 to the victims of Oklahoma. The $10.00 will be added to your cell phone bill - doesn't get any easier! Just think if we all did that how much it would help!
That's it for me today. We've got some dreary weather, so a good day to clean the house - - - - nah! I think I'll play some more!
Thanks for stopping by - have a great week! :)
